Dr. Volos is a South Florida native and a skilled pediatric optometrist who completed her education at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, where she obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree. She was awarded the Dr. Roy Brandreth Scholarship for Clinical Excellence and also graduated with top 10% distinction in leadership as a member of the Gold Key Honor Society. During her time at UC Berkeley, she also completed a 4th-year pediatric internship at Stanford’s Byers Eye Institute.
Following her passion for pediatric eye care, Dr. Volos pursued a residency at Duke University Eye Center, training alongside the pediatric ophthalmology fellows, gaining extensive experience in managing a wide range of pediatric eye conditions such as infantile cataracts, aphakic contact lens fittings, strabismus, amblyopia, myopia management and co-management of neuro-ophthalmic, cornea, and retinal conditions in children. As a PEDIG associate investigator, she also contributed to the ATS22 study, further advancing her commitment to evidence-based care.
Dr. Volos is dedicated to providing top-notch, personalized and compassionate care to her young patients. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, has been oral boards certified in the state of North Carolina and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
