Dr. Iragorry earned her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela School of Medicine and completed her Ophthalmology Residency at Fundación AVAO–Universidad de Los Andes in Caracas, Venezuela, where she was selected as Chief Resident in 2013. She further advanced her surgical expertise through a fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery before moving to the United States to pursue specialized pediatric training.
She completed her Pediatric Residency at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience caring for children with complex medical conditions. During her training, she also completed pediatric ophthalmology rotations at The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute and Hess Pediatric Ophthalmology in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Iragorry has a special interest in pediatric eye disorders, strabismus, amblyopia, and comprehensive pediatric ophthalmic care. She is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to children and their families and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, AAPOS American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Venezuelan Society of Ophthalmology, and multiple physician societies in Venezuela. Her academic achievements include receiving the Jose Izquierdo Award from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and recognition as Chief Resident during her ophthalmology residency training.
